Plot
A look into the nightlife of four vampires who have lived together on Staten Island for over a century reveals who wants to be a guest on the show. This was done to ensure that traditional dentures would not interfere with their speech patterns or pronunciation of words.

I hadn’t seen it before
This movie, which follows a different group in Wellington, New Zealand, is brilliant and I highly recommend it if you haven’t seen it before. If you love the movie, you’ll love the show!
The episodic nature of television makes the show better than the movie
The episodic format means that story lines can start and end more quickly than in a movie, characters can be developed more, and they can get caught up in various crazy situations. The movie had a lot of world-building potential, but it could have done so much more with a runtime of 85 minutes, and the show proves this even more by having more time.

The movie just wasn’t on board. They made sure the tone, production design, cinematography, and humor were the same as the movie.
