A prequel to the original Dune, it tells the story of how the Sisterhood of Rosak evolved into the Bene Gesserit. The incident with Valya Harkonnen using a voice is from one called «Mentats of Dune». All three books intertwine the development of the Sisterhood, the Mentats, the Navigators, and the Sook Doctors..
So what’s the ‘formula’?
I’ve read and watched a lot of fantasy/sdi-fi in my life and I believe I can instantly recognize a winner, be it The Fifth Element, The Lord of the Rings, Edge of Tomorrow, The Matrix, GOT or 12 Monkeys . I’ve seen EVERY classic – too many to mention here. It just grabs you and you have to see more!

The plot and characters draw you in, there are some nice surprises, it feels real… I agree that some of the weaker actors aren’t that great… and that SwordMASTER is unlikely to be that absurdly young…
A classic production in all aspects
but overall the series so far has been intriguing, watchable and has a lot of excitement. The "Prophecy" element is delicious and I look forward to seeing what happens next.
